Bases
Bases are core to our umbrella system and can be used with all our umbrellas.
We have 3 different base types subject to use & wind requirements:
1. Classic base - with bolted stalk & base plate for residential use (requires assembly)
2. Welded base - welded stalk & base plate for high wind & commercial use
3. Marine grade stainless steel base - welded for extreme winds, bolting into fixed surfaces & over water locations
We recommend securing your bases with our weight plates or weight bags.Please note, weights need to be ordered separately.
Care & Durability
Care & Durability
Keep your bases dry and don't leave in water puddles to maintain the metal.
We recommend keeping your base clean with tap water and a soft cloth, to avoid the build up of dirt, dirty water, salt or debris which may scratch or stain the powder coating if left for a prolonged period of time leading to rust.
For high wind and commercial use we recommend the Welded Base for greater durability and the Marine Grade Stainless Steel Base for the highest level of durability.

Please note: bases, weights & sockets may be shipped separately due to weight.

Bases come in White or Black Dulux Colorbond powder coating as standard.

How much weight do I need?
Please contact if you have questions, as requirements will vary subject to location, wind profile & use. As a broad guideline we recommend:
Medium-Wind Location:
2m - 17 kg Base + 1-2 x 15kg weights
2.5m - 17 kg Base + 2-3 x 15kgs weights
2.9m - 17 kg Base + 3 x 15 kgs weights
3.4m - 17 kg Base + 4 x 15kgs weights
