Sophie founded the Original Parasol Co. in 2022, after many years unsuccessfully searching for a backyard umbrella that was stylish, original, designed for the Australian climate... and not beige.
The Original Parasol Co. is inspired by a lifetime of Sophie's travels through Europe, North & South America, Africa, Asia & the Pacific.
The brightly coloured, embellished umbrellas are reminiscent of luxury hotels, boutique resorts, members clubs, desert tents, & festivals Sophie has visited over the years.
The OPC aims to bring the style, elegance, colour & feeling of luxury resort inspired living home. That moment you first relax under a gorgeous umbrella... colourful cool drink in hand. Bliss.

The Original Parasol Co umbrellas are designed by Australians to be tough, for the extreme Australian climate. Where a summer's day can include blistering heat, swift sea breeze & a tropical thunderstorm to round it off.
The ranges of parasols are designed by Sophie in Sydney. The final product is produced by in Melbourne for distribution across in Australia & Internationally.
